Staff Engineer, Mechanical Design Specialist

This role is responsible for executing the design, analysis, and evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in product development, with a focus on technical improvement and innovation.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute mechanical design solutions for products and systems, ensuring compliance with business standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical design with other engineering disciplines, such as electrical and thermal engineering.
- Lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements, and provide technical guidance and support to colleagues.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technical developments in mechanical engineering and apply this knowledge to improve product design and performance.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in design engineering, with a focus on mechanical systems.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, including stress analysis, thermal management, and materials science.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
- Master's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university or college.
- Experience with product development and technical innovation, with a focus on mechanical systems.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to lead small projects and teams.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
