Job Overview

Main Duties of the Job

The post holder will provide a specialist service to adults with communication and swallowing disorders, including those with tracheostomies, across three clinical areas. The current vacancy is within the Health and Ageing team, part of the Acute Speech and Language Therapy service. This team covers admitting wards, general medical and surgical wards, and health and ageing wards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist clinical services to adults with communication and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and maintain specialist clinical skills across each clinical area
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Participate in the development of service-wide initiatives and projects
