Orthopaedic Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join our dynamic Orthopaedic Occupational Therapy team at UHL.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced team of therapists, providing high-quality care to patients undergoing elective hip and knee surgery.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing patients' needs, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and providing education and support to patients and their families.

Our team is committed to delivering excellent patient care and outcomes, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for rehabilitation and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assess patients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  2. Provide high-quality care to patients undergoing elective hip and knee surgery.
  3. Work closely with our experienced team of therapists to deliver excellent patient care and outcomes.
  4. Provide education and support to patients and their families.
  5. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of care pathways.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in occupational therapy or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of rehabilitation principles and practices.
