About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Sodexo. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing a section of the kitchen and ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Recipe Development: Assist in planning and developing menus that meet the needs of our clients and customers.
  • Culinary Operations: Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and specifications, ensuring that all food is of the highest quality and presentation.
  • Team Leadership: Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are able to perform their duties to the highest standard.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all kitchen staff are aware of and comply with all Company and hospital policies and procedures, including health and safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire, and COSHH.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Ensure that the kitchen is clean and organized, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and hygiene at all times.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, with at least 2 years' experience working as a chef.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, excellent culinary skills, and a passion for cooking. Ability to communicate with co-workers and other departments with professionalism and respect.
