An exceptional opportunity is available for a full-time Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) Advisor at Leicestershire Partnership Trust (LPT). This role is integral to the broader Safety and EPRR Team.

LPT is dedicated to the domain of EPRR and seeks a candidate who will advance our initiatives in alignment with the Trust's strategic objectives. We are in search of a motivated, seasoned, and adaptable professional with a proactive mindset and the ability to adjust to evolving circumstances. Strong communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with senior organizational members, including Directors and non-executive Directors. Your responsibilities will include leading the formulation and execution of the EPRR annual work plan, aimed at achieving complete adherence to NHS England's Core Standards for EPRR. You will assist the Trust by reviewing and refining existing plans, spearheading EPRR training and exercise programs, and guiding or influencing responses to emerging challenges or crises.

Collaboration with multi-agency partners across the Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland health system, as well as the broader Local Resilience Forum, will be crucial in relation to emergency planning protocols, complex response strategies, and providing assurance to our Accountable Emergency Officer (AEO) and the Trust board regarding EPRR compliance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate emergency and business continuity plans, working closely with clinical and corporate departments to ensure effective and current plans are in place, complying with national, regional, and local guidelines, as well as legal obligations under the Civil Contingencies Act and EPRR Framework.
  • Serve as a primary contact for emergency preparedness issues within the organization, offering advice, guidance, training, and support while participating in system emergency planning meetings.
  • Maintain up-to-date policies, plans, and guidelines, coordinate necessary reporting/Situation Reporting (SitReps), and disseminate key information throughout the organization.
  • Ensure full EPRR compliance as mandated by the NHS England (NHSE) Framework, confirming that all core standards are satisfactorily met.
  • Manage the Operations hub in accordance with the Integrated Care Board (ICB) System Co-ordination Centre (SCC) policy; coordinate incoming communications and ensure they are relayed to the relevant Directorates and key senior leaders within the Trust.
  • Hold responsibility and accountability for ensuring effective and efficient responses in the event of a major incident.
