About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team at NEXT as a Packaging and EPR Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our sustainability efforts and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage compliance with UK, European, and international legislation related to packaging, labeling, EPR, taxes, and levies.
- Develop and implement business guidance and prepare data reports for submission to regulatory bodies.
- Manage Extended Producer Responsibility for WEEE, Batteries, and Textiles, including registrations and data submissions.
- Advise product teams on Single Use Plastics and Deposit Return Schemes.
- Lead negotiations with external Compliance Schemes and manage associated costs and revenues.
About You:
We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in working with external packaging and EPR regulations, Compliance Schemes, and their impact on organizations. You should have excellent analytical skills, numerical confidence, and excellent communication skills. You should also be able to work alone and as part of a team, and have a strong interest in ERP.
Desirable Criteria:
- A relevant qualification at degree or equivalent level.
- A high level of self-interest in sustainability.
- A resilient and dynamic approach.
