Ruleguard is a leading SaaS provider dedicated to the financial sector's compliance needs. We specialize in developing innovative software that simplifies regulatory adherence for banks, brokers, and investment firms. As a Corporate Legal Advisor, you will be instrumental in protecting our organization's interests by offering expert legal counsel and strategic guidance. Your main responsibility will be to acquire a comprehensive understanding of our extensive framework agreement and effectively manage client negotiations and objections. This senior role allows for significant remote work flexibility.

The Role

  • Gain a deep understanding of our company's framework agreement, including its intricacies and implications.
  • Provide legal insights to internal teams regarding the interpretation and application of the framework agreement.
  • Address client objections and modifications related to the framework agreement.
  • Engage with clients, resolving their concerns while ensuring adherence to legal standards.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including IT and software contracts, to safeguard the company's legal rights.
  • Communicate and negotiate with external stakeholders as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Deliver accurate and timely legal advice to internal teams on various legal matters.
  • Clarify legal terminology or specifications for internal teams.
  • Mitigate legal risks associated with client agreements and business operations.
  • Implement effective risk management strategies and provide proactive legal advice.
  • Conduct your responsibilities with integrity and accountability.
  • Stay informed about changes in legislation.

Your Knowledge & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years PQE
  • Demonstrated experience as a Legal Advisor in a corporate setting
  • Strong understanding of contract law, intellectual property, and technology-related legal issues.
  • Proven expertise in advising on SaaS (software-as-a-service) agreements
  • Comprehensive awareness of the external factors impacting a business.
  • Ability to formulate legal strategies that are defensive or proactive.
  • High standards of professional ethics and integrity.
  • Sound judgment with the capacity to analyze situations and information.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification is preferred.
