Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Interventional Neuroradiologist to join our team at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our neurosciences department, you will play a vital role in providing tertiary care to patients across the region.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Performing regular elective interventional sessions, as well as responding to emergency cases
  • Contributing to diagnostic reporting and participating in multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Developing and expanding our mechanical thrombectomy service
  • Collaborating with colleagues to provide an excellent patient experience through teamwork and effective communication

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Full GMC registration and FRCR or equivalent specialist qualification
  • Relevant CCT or equivalent, with eligibility for entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of appointment
  • Experience across the breadth of neurointerventional procedures, with evidence of clinical audit
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
