We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Electronics Engineer to contribute to our Engineering team at National Physical Laboratory. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital part in advancing our research and development capabilities. Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical automation, instrumentation, and safety systems
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and standards for products provided by NPL
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals to deliver high-quality engineering solutions
  • Supervise junior team members and provide guidance on design and technical matters
  • Provide consultancy services across the department, staying up-to-date with the latest developments
Requirements
  • Experience designing electrical automation, instrumentation, and safety systems
  • Excellent CAD design skills and experience creating and interpreting electrical schematics
  • BSc degree qualification in Electrical, Electronic, or Control Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
  • Desirable criteria include experience with the machinery directive, electrical safety standards, and system load and efficiency calculations
