MacGregor Black is currently collaborating with a Dynamic Toy Organization to find a Lead National Account Executive. This is a permanent position based in the North of England.

As the Lead National Account Executive, you will be instrumental in fostering and expanding our business partnerships within the grocery retail landscape. Your role will involve devising and executing strategic initiatives to achieve sales objectives, boost brand awareness, and advocate for our products on a national scale. Your effectiveness in this position will hinge on your capability to manage essential accounts proficiently, collaborate across various departments, and remain updated on industry trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and cultivate relationships with key national accounts, concentrating on grocery chains and prominent UK retailers, ensuring elevated levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Formulate and execute sales strategies customized for grocery chains and key retailers to meet and surpass sales objectives.
  • Evaluate market trends, consumer behaviors, and competitor activities to uncover growth opportunities within the grocery and retail sectors.
  • Lead negotiations regarding contracts, pricing, and promotional activities with major retail and grocery partners.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, product development, and logistics teams to ensure cohesive account strategies and execution.
  • Prepare and deliver regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses to senior management.
  • Develop and manage account budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
  • Plan and implement promotional activities and campaigns in partnership with marketing teams to enhance product visibility and sales.

What are we looking for?

  • Proven experience in account management.
  • 5+ years of experience in the toy or gifting industry.
  • Experience in licensing and working with grocery chains.
  • Strong strategic thinking abilities.
  • Experience in account development and acquiring new business.
  • Capability to manage diverse priorities (both internal and external) and adhere to timelines, manage projects, and lead teams.
