As a Library Experience Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Responding promptly to inquiries, ensuring appropriate referrals or escalations to colleagues when necessary.

  • Contributing to the efficient operation of circulation services, including shelving, to support teaching, learning, and research needs.
  • Proactively engaging with library study areas, ensuring visibility and accessibility for customers seeking assistance.
  • Collaborating with the Library Experience team to maintain effective communication regarding task progress and important updates, including coordination with evening and weekend staff to ensure seamless service delivery.

This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) that includes regular evening and weekend duties on a rotating schedule. Working patterns will be discussed and agreed upon with the successful candidate.

We offer hybrid working arrangements for this role, allowing you to work primarily on campus with some flexibility for remote work. We recognize the value of a supportive work environment and are open to discussions about flexible working throughout the application process.
