Role Objective
  • To guarantee that the designated production department adheres to the highest safety and environmental protocols while ensuring that all approved operational practices are consistently applied and updated as necessary.
  • To oversee the team in achieving superior product quality with minimal waste, while meeting production output goals and schedules.
  • To mentor and guide the team through training, coaching, and performance management, ensuring all team members fulfill their responsibilities effectively.
  • To actively participate in and lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing departmental performance.
  • To communicate and take appropriate measures in response to any deviations in EH&S, quality, product output, or manpower that may jeopardize target achievements.
  • To complete production output tasks when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the implementation and compliance with the Company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
  • Maintain and update approved operational practices, ensuring adherence to Health, Safety & Environmental regulations.
  • Uphold compliance with the established site Quality systems.
  • Propose and execute enhancements that improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Lead and engage in continuous improvement activities, including 5S initiatives.
  • Monitor equipment and processes, reporting on effectiveness and suggesting improvements.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, or quality deviations.
  • Ensure all quality control tests and inspections are conducted accurately, with deviations documented appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate reporting and stock management.
  • Ensure high standards of housekeeping within the team, addressing issues promptly.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Strong understanding of machine operations and engineering principles.
  • Awareness of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Ability to recognize health and safety regulations and conduct risk assessments as needed.
  • Familiarity with coating procedures and relevant testing protocols.
  • Proficient in SAP and possess strong IT skills.
  • NEBSM supervisory training or equivalent experience.
Leadership Responsibilities
  • Organize, manage, and motivate the shift team.
  • Conduct performance reviews, identifying training and development needs to ensure team competency.
  • Investigate performance issues, recommending corrective actions as necessary.
  • Maintain and update training records for shift teams.
  • Communicate effectively across shifts and support team information sharing.
  • Provide timely updates to management regarding personnel and operational matters.
  • Collaborate with other department supervisors to achieve common objectives.
  • Ensure departmental schedules are met in terms of volume, quality, and timeliness.
