About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Supervisor to join our Engineering team at Element Solutions Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our large site, ensuring a safe, secure, clean, and tidy environment for our employees and visitors.

The Facilities Supervisor will lead a small team and report directly to the Facilities and Maintenance Manager. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining the site in a safe and secure condition, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Managing a team of directly employed staff and contractors to ensure effective waste management and maintenance of buildings and their fabrics.
  • Ensuring compliance with current legislation regarding waste disposal and management.
  • Operating and managing Returnable Packaging Systems.
  • Organizing quotations from suppliers for contracted services and liaising with external contacts.
  • Coordinating site security contracts and managing site cleaning contracts.
  • Designing, constructing, and repairing special purpose fixings for the site.
  • Assisting in project management and planning, as required.
  • Raising permits to work in accordance with company policies and regulations.
  • Preparing and managing approved working practices and risk assessments for the Facilities area.
  • Utilizing carpentry tools and other workshop equipment.
  • Ordering consumables and contract services to meet department and company requirements.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Experience in a building-related supervisory position.
  • Effective team player with strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of waste disposal and current legislation.
  • Strong health, safety, and environmental awareness.
  • Good IT skills.
