Job Title: Margin Operations Senior Analyst

Citi Markets Operations is a dynamic and global organization with a presence in over 60 countries. We are a key player in the financial industry, providing a range of Capital Markets products and services, including Fixed Income, Equity, and Syndicates.

Job Purpose:

The Margin Operations team plays a critical role in mitigating credit risk and ensuring regulatory compliance through the completion of core responsibilities, including margin calls processing, collateral optimization, exception resolution, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process margin calls to ensure successful receipt and/or payment of agreed and eligible collateral
  • Optimize collateral to minimize risk and maximize efficiency
  • Resolve and escalate exceptions, including fails, cash breaks, and margin disputes
  • Ensure regulatory compliance through the collection and posting of eligible collateral, portfolio reconciliations, and client valuations
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in a financial services role, preferably with experience in Margin/Collateral Management or Derivatives Settlements operational functions
  • Foundational knowledge of business analysis and requirement writing skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders of different levels of seniority and from different areas of the firm
  • Motivation and intellectual curiosity to learn about the full 'front-to-back' process and related teams
  • Ability to build relationships and establish trust with professionals throughout the business
