Children's Unit Administrative Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Ward Clerk in our Children's Unit. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a brand new state-of-the-art Women and Children's building in 2025.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the ward team, including making appointments, managing and preparing clinics, and receiving and making telephone calls.
- Work effectively with a varied group of staff, including doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families, providing a friendly and supportive service.
- Manage and maintain accurate records and reports, using a keen eye for detail and organizational skills.
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Ability to work using own initiative, with a flexible approach to working hours and shifts.
The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides services to West Cheshire and Welsh patients covered by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. We work collaboratively within the wider Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership, providing acute emergency and elective services, primary care direct access services, and obstetric services to a population of approximately 407,000.
We are a busy district general hospital, with over 6258 staff (headcount) and a wide range of services, including general and acute beds, rehabilitation, intermediate, and outpatient facilities. We are committed to providing high-quality patient care and improving health outcomes for our community.
