Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Ward Clerk to join our team in the Children's Unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a brand new state-of-the-art Women and Children's building in 2025.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be the friendly face to greet our patients and families, and will be responsible for carrying out administrative duties. This will include making appointments, managing and preparing clinics, receiving and making telephone calls, and working with a varied group of staff.

About the Role

This is a part-time position, working 33.50 hours per week, with a shift pattern to be agreed to cover working days of 07:30-20:00. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and enthusiastic, with previous experience of working in an administrative role.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with staff of all levels. Organisational skills and a keen eye for accuracy and detail are essential for this role.
