**Key Responsibilities**
As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing detailed network architectures for converged building networks. This will involve collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to define IP and VLAN schedules, ensuring seamless integration and coordination.
**Deliverables**
The candidate will be expected to produce and deliver:
- Detailed network designs for converged building networks
- Engineering documentation, including IP schedules, rack elevations, and patching schedules
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess:
- A proven track record in delivering low-level network designs in the construction industry
- Experience in coordinating design with construction teams, including main contractors, sub-contractors, and design teams
- Strong experience with Cisco networking technologies and exposure to Cisco Meraki
- A professional network qualification, such as Cisco CCNA, or equivalent
- Ability to engineer solutions within budget and identify potential commercial and technical risks
- Expertise in setting up switches and clearly communicating design concepts to stakeholders
- Relevant technical accreditations and qualifications
- Sound working knowledge of common network manufacturers, including Cisco and HP
**Desirable Skills**
- Understanding of cloud-based IoT technologies
- Experience in advising third parties on network security and configuration
- Knowledge of common building and IoT protocols, such as Modbus, BACnet, and MQTT
