About the Role

MRP-Global is seeking a highly skilled Network Architect to join our team in Coulsdon. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing converged building networks for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop detailed network architectures for converged building networks, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including main contractors, sub-contractors, and design teams, to deliver low-level network designs that meet client requirements.
  • Produce high-quality engineering documentation, including IP schedules, rack elevations, and patching schedules, to support network implementation.
  • Develop expertise in Cisco networking technologies, including Cisco Meraki, and stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Engineer solutions that meet budget constraints and identify potential commercial and technical risks.
  • Configure and set up switches to ensure optimal network performance.
  • Communicate complex design concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, justifying design decisions and providing clear explanations.
Requirements
  • Proven track record in delivering low-level network designs in the construction industry.
  • Experience in coordinating design with wider construction teams.
  • Strong experience with Cisco networking technologies and exposure to Cisco Meraki.
  • Professional network qualification, such as Cisco CCNA, or equivalent.
  • Ability to engineer solutions to required budget and highlight possible commercial and technical risks.
  • Expertise in setting up switches.
  • Ability to clearly detail and explain design concepts.
  • Relevant technical accreditations and qualifications.
  • Sound working knowledge of common network manufacturers, such as Cisco, HP, etc.
Desirable Skills
  • Understanding of cloud-based IoT technologies.
  • Experience in advising third parties on locking down and configuring their equipment to meet network security standards.
  • Experience with common building and IoT protocols, such as Modbus, BACnet, and MQTT.
