About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team at the Heartlands site. As part of University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and efficient dispensing of medications, contributing directly to patient care within our busy hospital setting.

Your Responsibilities

  • Accurately dispense prescriptions under the guidance of experienced pharmacists.
  • Support the management of pharmaceutical inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and timely ordering.
  • Proactively identify potential medication discrepancies or issues, escalating them appropriately.
  • Contribute to the development and optimization of outpatient pharmacy services.
  • Safely issue dispensed prescriptions to patients, providing clear instructions and addressing any queries.
  • Maintain meticulous patient medication records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to enhance pharmacy automation processes and workflow efficiency.
