About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CAMHS Specialist Mental Health Practitioner to join our dynamic and innovative Community CAMHS team in Nottinghamshire. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing mental health assessments and interventions to children and young people with a wide range of emotional and mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop evidence-based treatment plans
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to children and young people
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and effective risk management
  • Participate in the CAMHS Single Point of Access (SPA) and CAMHS enquiries rota
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service innovations and improvements
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. RMN, RN, HV, OT, Clinical Psychology, Social Worker)
  • Registration with a relevant professional body
  • Experience of providing mental health assessments and interventions to children and young people
  • Ability to engage and develop therapeutic relationships with service users
  • Experience of multi-agency and multi-disciplinary working
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, documents, and policies pertaining to children
