Job Title: Pupil Support Worker

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Pupil Support Worker to join our team at a secondary school supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate individual to provide support to students with SEMH needs both in and out of the classroom. The successful candidate will build strong, trusting relationships with students, helping them engage positively with their education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide targeted support to students with SEMH needs, promoting a calm and productive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to deliver effective support strategies.
  • Use effective behaviour management skills to support students in achieving their full potential.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Strong behaviour management skills and ability to build rapport with students.
  • Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting young people.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals.
