Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Support Worker for SEMH Pupils, you will play a vital role in providing individualized support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to help pupils access the curriculum effectively
- Offer emotional and behavioral support during lessons, breaks, and lunchtimes
- Tailor learning strategies to individual needs, promoting positive engagement
- Collaborate closely with teaching staff to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environment
Requirements:
- Experience in working with children with SEMH or similar needs
- Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a genuine desire to help pupils succeed
- Ability to manage challenging behavior and build positive relationships with students
What We Offer:
- A full-time role with the possibility of becoming temp-to-perm for the successful candidate
- A competitive hourly rate of £12.90
- Ongoing training and support to ensure you feel confident and equipped in your role
