**Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced School Nurse to join our Special Schools Nursing Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing nursing care and support to children and young people with complex needs in special schools across Islington.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care and support to children and young people with complex needs in special schools
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individual care plans
  • Conduct health assessments and provide health education to children and young people
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date health records
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement policies and procedures
  • Provide training and support to school staff on health-related issues
  • Contribute to the development of the Special Schools Nursing Team

**Requirements:

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Sick Children's Nurse (RSCN) qualification
  • Post-registration training and development in child health or a related field
  • Experience of working with children and families with complex needs
  • Experience of working in a school or community setting
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
