We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Team Lead for the Special School Nursing Team within the Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the team and providing a service to children and young people aged 4-19 years, across the 4 special schools in Brent.
Main Responsibilities- Lead the Special School Nursing Team and provide strategic direction
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures
- Provide clinical supervision and support to team members
- Collaborate with colleagues in Education, Primary Care, Tertiary centres and Social Services to ensure seamless care
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including parents, carers, and community partners
- RGN, RSCN, RN(Child) or LD Nurse qualification
- NMC Registration
- Evidence of post-registration education to diploma/degree level
- Teaching qualification
- Level 3 Safeguarding course
- Extensive experience in post-registration work in the community
- Nursing experience at Band 6 of nursing children with special needs and/or complex health needs
- Experience of key working, managing a caseload, teaching, and liaising/negotiating with professionals
- Line management experience
- HV/SN/Children's Community Nursing / Specialist Practitioner Qualification
- Knowledge of the NMC Professional Codes and Standards
- Knowledge of Personal Development Planning
- Knowledge of Clinical Governance and its implementation
- Knowledge of purpose and value of Clinical Supervision
- Understanding of and commitment to Equal Opportunities
- Knowledge of political changes in the profession and NHS
