We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Children's Community Special School Nurse to join our team at the NHS. As a key member of our Special School Nursing Team, you will play a vital role in providing specialist healthcare support to children and young people with medical needs.
Main Responsibilities- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to children with special needs in a school setting.
- Work closely with children, their families, and key partners to improve health outcomes and support children to achieve their full potential.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each child.
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure seamless care and effective communication.
- Contribute to the quality of our services by maintaining accurate and timely clinical records, adhering to evidence-based policies and procedures, and promoting a culture of kindness, respect, and empowerment.
- Registered nurse with a background in children's services or a related field.
- Experience working with children with special needs, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to maintain accurate and timely clinical records, and to use electronic patient records and Microsoft Word for letter and report writing.
- Knowledge of the health needs of children and young people, and an understanding of the clinical governance framework in relation to practice.
- A competitive salary of £40,701 to £48,054 per annum, pro rata for term-time only.
