About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dordon. As a key member of our Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our live production control systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and resolve PLC code-related issues within our live operational systems.
  • Work with the Engineering Team and PLC Support Team to diagnose, create, and deploy code fixes.
  • Provide front-line issues investigation of live production control systems, including the use of diagnostic tools such as Profi bus/Can Bus networks and Bar Code Readers.
  • Carry out predefined planned maintenance activities across the site.
  • Analyse data to find solutions to improve MHE performance.
About You

We are looking for an experienced Engineer with a formal qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering (NVQ Level 3, HNC or equivalent). You should have a good understanding of PLC control system architecture, field control devices, AC/DC motor controls, and Industrial Bus Networks (e.g., Profi bus, ASi). Experience with online code monitoring, modification, and development using Siemens S7 300/400 PLCs and TIA is essential. Additionally, you should have experience with SCADA and Siemens HMI systems, as well as a good understanding of Control System Communication Protocols such as WCS and WMS systems.
