Role Overview:

The PLC Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for providing immediate support during breakdowns and executing preventative maintenance on Siemens PLC systems. This role also involves assisting with the upkeep of production machinery as necessary.


Key Responsibilities:
Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and programming is crucial.

  • Collaborate with the Automation Control Team to implement temporary solutions or modifications to PLC code during hardware failures, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Work alongside the Automation Control Team to diagnose and resolve PLC code issues, deploying necessary code corrections when required.
  • Conduct real-time investigations of live production PLC systems using online monitoring tools to identify and rectify faults or failures in equipment or code.

Additionally, the role includes:
  • Investigating non-code related issues using diagnostic tools for equipment such as Profibus/Can Bus networks and Bar Code Readers.
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of machinery and processes.
  • Occasional electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.

Documentation of maintenance activities and parts utilized will be managed through a computerized maintenance management system.
