Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at CRA GROUP LIMITED. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for planning and preparing nutritious meals for our residents, ensuring that all food is fresh and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present well-balanced meals and beverages to the highest quality, incorporating cultural and dietary needs as required.
  • Work closely with residents to plan menus that reflect their choice and preferences.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff in the methods of production, service, and standards required in the care home kitchen.
  • Maintain accurate records, including stock control, food orders, invoice recording, cash reconciliation, and all other documents as required for audit purposes.
  • Ensure an acceptable level of hygiene and cleanliness at all times and be aware of and responsible for all relevant Health and Safety and Environmental Health Agencies regulations in the kitchen area.

Requirements:

  • Experience of food preparation and service.
  • Experience of working in a Care Home kitchen environment.
  • Experience of working with older people.
  • Basic Food Hygiene Training NVQ Level 1 or equivalent.
  • NVQ 2/3 in Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate.
