Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at CRA GROUP LIMITED. As a Cook, you will be responsible for planning and preparing nutritious meals for our residents, ensuring that all food purchased is fresh and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and present well-balanced meals and beverages to the highest quality, incorporating cultural and dietary needs as required by our residents.
Work closely with residents to plan menus that reflect their choice and preferences.
Supervise and train kitchen staff in the methods of production, service, and standards required in the care home kitchen, including organization of work rotas where required.
Work as a team with other kitchen staff to complete all daily duties necessary within the care home kitchen.
Maintain accurate records as required by the care home, including stock control, food orders, invoice recording, cash reconciliation, accurate cash records, sickness reporting, completion of timesheets, productivity levels, weekly catering records, and all other documents as required for audit purposes.
Maintain an acceptable level of hygiene and cleanliness at all times and be aware of and be responsible for all relevant Health and Safety and Environmental Health Agencies regulations in the kitchen area.
Purchase supplies in accordance with the planned menu while monitoring and controlling the stock from suppliers.
Essential Qualifications:
Basic Food Hygiene Training NVQ Level 1 or equivalent.
NVQ 2/3 in Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate.
