Our team specializes in front-end studies, engineering, procurement, and project management services for initiating and executing projects in oil & gas, offshore wind HVDC, renewable energy, and carbon capture.

We are currently seeking Lead Project Engineers for interface management roles in topsides engineering on offshore projects, primarily focusing on offshore wind HVDC EPCI projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Engineering Manager in delivering the engineering efforts on a project or tender, ensuring alignment with NES Fircroft's values and contractual obligations. It is essential to consider other project aspects such as procurement, construction, completion, and operation, ensuring engineering is managed within the contractual schedule and budget.

Responsibilities include:
  • Managing internal and external interfaces
  • Ensuring engineering execution aligns with the Project Execution Model/Plan (PEM/PEP) while adhering to schedule, budget, and contractual requirements, with a focus on Quality and HSE
  • Coordinating and supporting other project engineering activities as directed by the Engineering Manager
  • Facilitating task force coordination, including project initiation support
  • Monitoring project schedules and manhour budgets
  • Overseeing Integrity and Compliance coordination
  • Managing engineering change control
  • Contributing to technical and commercial evaluations related to the project
  • Preparing and delivering technical presentations
  • Conducting risk management to identify project threats and opportunities
  • Keeping the Engineering Manager and Client representative updated on project/task progress.
Qualifications:

  • A university degree or relevant education with over 10 years of post-graduate experience in front-end, FEED, and/or EPC projects
  • A proven track record in interface coordination roles from at least one FEED, E&P, or EPC project
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in the offshore oil & gas/renewable energy or onshore oil & gas/carbon capture sectors, with a preference for offshore experience
  • Understanding of interdepartmental and interdisciplinary relationships within an EP or EPC contractor organization
  • Demonstrated knowledge of procurement and essential project control aspects
  • Ability to effectively negotiate critical issues with Engineers/Designers and Clients.
