Civil Engineer Opportunity

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000, Depending on Experience

Norse Group is a leading consultancy in property and construction, offering specialized services in architecture, surveying, engineering, and asset management to a diverse clientele across the UK. As we experience a growing demand for Civil Engineering expertise, we are excited to present a remarkable opportunity for a Civil Engineer to become part of our dynamic Exeter Engineering team.

In this role, you will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary consulting team, contributing to the delivery of technical services for both new and existing clients, primarily within the public sector. You will have the chance to work alongside seasoned professionals, managing a portfolio of projects. Depending on your experience level, you may be tasked with either contributing to or leading engineering projects from inception to completion while nurturing client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute assigned projects within specified timelines, adhering to budgetary constraints and fee targets.
  • Ensure that design and supervision costs remain within the established scales and targets outlined in the current Business Plan.
  • Deliver civil engineering projects in accordance with client specifications and professional standards.
  • Maintain compliance with agreed-upon procedures, technical standards, and organizational policies.
  • Prepare Flood Risk Assessment (FRA) briefs, commission necessary assessments, and interpret findings.
  • Develop site investigation briefs, evaluate site conditions, and analyze soil report interpretations.
  • Conduct civil engineering surveys to identify defects, document causes, and provide recommendations through detailed reports.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Formal qualification (Degree or HNC/D equivalent) in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience in civil engineering projects.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices and professional standards.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Proficient in relevant design software (AutoCAD/Civil3D, Causeway Flow, etc.).
  • Competent in Microsoft Office tools, with a quick adaptability to new systems and processes.
  • A current CSCS site card or willingness to obtain one after appointment.
