NAPIC Communications and Outreach Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Communications and Outreach Manager to join the National Alternative Protein Innovation Centre (NAPIC) at the University of Leeds.

About the Role:

The Communications and Outreach Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy to promote NAPIC's work and engage with stakeholders. This will involve working closely with the NAPIC operational team, academics, and external partners to deliver engaging communications and promote opportunities for engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a communications strategy to promote NAPIC's work and engage with stakeholders
  • Work closely with the NAPIC operational team, academics, and external partners to deliver engaging communications and promote opportunities for engagement
  • Curate and manage the NAPIC website and social media accounts to build a national and global following
  • Proactively identify and pursue opportunities for collaboration and partnership with other organizations and stakeholders
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communications activities and make recommendations for improvement

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in communications and outreach, preferably in a higher education or research setting
  • Strong understanding of communications principles and practices, including social media and digital communications
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
