Job Title: Fabric Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Fabric Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Evri's Barnsley Hub. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cutting-edge equipment and systems.

Job Purpose:

As a Fabric Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fabric handling equipment, including Beumer Sorters, Interroll Sorters, and Carousel conveyors. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues, working closely with our Senior Engineer and other stakeholders to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fabric handling equipment, including Beumer Sorters, Interroll Sorters, and Carousel conveyors.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, working closely with our Senior Engineer and other stakeholders.
  3. Ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance of equipment and systems.
  4. Collaborate with our engineering team to identify and implement improvements to our maintenance processes and procedures.
  5. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our equipment and systems, including PLCs, Profibus, and Asi-bus systems.
Requirements:
  1. Qualification in an engineering discipline (e.g. City & Guilds) or equivalent experience and skills.
  2. Experience and knowledge in automation, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  3. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
