Job Summary
Primary Care Management Solutions Ltd is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Salaried General Practitioner to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our primary care team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical care to our patients.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver effective medical care to the entitled population, adhering to local and national guidelines.
- Provide services commensurate with the APMS contract, ensuring seamless patient care.
- Manage long-term conditions effectively, utilizing best practice and clinical guidelines.
- Process administrative tasks in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests, and other associated tasks.
- Participate in telephone triage and duty doctor roles on a rotational basis.
- Maintain accurate clinical records, adhering to good practice, policy, and guidance.
- Collaborate with the team, accepting an equal share of the workload and contributing to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
- Accept delegated responsibility for specific areas or the QOF, ensuring compliance with clinical guidelines and audit processes.
- Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the practice, including clinical governance, training, financial management, and HR.
- Ensure compliance with the appraisal process and prepare for revalidation.
- Commit to self-learning and instill an ethos of continuing professional development across the team.
- Support the training of medical students from all clinical disciplines.
- Support the partners in achieving the strategic aims of the practice, making recommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditure.
- Review and adhere to practice protocols and policies at all times.
- Encourage collaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Participate in practice audits as requested by the audit lead.
- Participate in local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care.
- Participate in the completion and review of significant and near-miss events, applying a structured approach to root cause analysis (RCA).
