Chippenham

As a seasoned Engineer looking to advance your career, you'll play a pivotal role in driving the growth and profitability of our After Sales and Hire business in the Southern part of the UK. Based in Chippenham, you'll lead a small team of Field Service Technicians to ensure the smooth running of operations across the South of the UK, in a senior role with high responsibility.

We're seeking a driven individual with a HNC level or equivalent Mechanical/Electrical Engineering qualification and a commercial mindset. You'll be advancing your career, joining a company where your talents will be recognised and rewarded with generous commission, and guaranteed progression.

On offer is the opportunity to draw upon your leadership skills and technical ability to manage a variety of responsibilities, from strategic planning to day-to-day operations, to support the service provision and equipment installation for clients. You'll be working closely with internal and external stakeholders, building strong relationships with customers, and providing exceptional customer service at all times.

The Role:
  • Promote our company's solutions to new and existing customers to support sales of new equipment and installations.
  • Identify new customers and business opportunities to increase sales of equipment, spares, and hire services.
  • Inspect machinery at customer sites, provide service inspection reports, and generate quotations and service proposals.
  • Coordinate resources with Contracts Engineer and Installation Supervisor for service, installations, and commissioning in the region.
  • Manage the Regional Installation Supervisor for installation delivery in the region.
  • Develop the regional business plan with the Field Operations Manager.
  • Collaborate with other Regional Field Managers to optimize the use of spare resources between operational regions.
The Person:
  • Background in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
  • Experience managing a team of Engineers
  • Previous experience in an engineering/manufacturing/maintenance environment
