Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 DOE

Location: Lutterworth

Setting: Panama Shift (06:00–18:00 – 14:30–02:30) – Site working

The Channel Recruiter Ltd is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at the Lutterworth distribution centre. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on machinery and equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  3. Assist in the installation of new equipment and ensure that all systems are properly integrated and functioning as expected.
  4. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including logs and reports, to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  5. Collaborate with other team members to resolve technical issues and ensure that all equipment is functioning safely and efficiently.

Requirements:

  1. Relevant engineering qualifications, such as an HNC or HND, or equivalent experience in a maintenance role.
  2. Proven experience in a maintenance or technical role, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
  3. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  4. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and stakeholders.
  5. A strong understanding of safety regulations and standards, with the ability to ensure compliance in all aspects of the job.
