About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our team at Velindre Cancer Centre. As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and strategic direction to our service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical assessment and direct the management of patients on a daily basis.
  • Access research and use information systems to inform practice and lead on relevant research within the service.
  • Demonstrate clear principles of teaching and learning, and support others to develop through expert teaching and mentorship skills.
  • Take a strategic lead on service development and be responsible for policy and service development.
  • Manage and develop clinical staff, including appraisal, CPD, and performance.
  • Be clinically accountable for clinical service delivery and lead on the VCS Resuscitation Service.
Requirements
  • Professional registration as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner.
  • Level 7 Education (Master's Degree) relevant to the area of clinical practice.
  • Advanced specialist knowledge of patient pathways and independent prescribing qualification (if required for the role).
  • Experience of working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and leading services and teams.
  • Experience of teaching within a wide multi-professional audience and leading on and implementing research within clinical practice.
  • Clinical skills competence for the environment/setting and ability to travel in a timely manner throughout the organisation.
