Job Overview

The Advanced Paramedic Practitioner will work in a patient-facing role, delivering care, accessing patient pathways, and managing a patient caseload in emergency, urgent, and unscheduled care settings.

The Trainee Advanced Paramedic Practitioner will work rotationally as a patient-facing clinician, developing their skills and knowledge under the guidance of experienced Advanced Paramedic Practitioners.

Main Duties
  • Provide advanced clinical interventions and drug therapies.
  • Act as an independent practitioner, using advanced skills to assess, diagnose, treat, develop, and implement plans of care.
  • Work towards providing expert advanced practice and associated leadership of unscheduled care provision that crosses professional and organisational boundaries in emergency, urgent, and unscheduled care patients.
  • Act as an expert advisor for patients, carers, and all levels of operational clinicians.
  • Take a key role in the development of unscheduled care, enhancing patient care services drawing on multiple research and development methodologies.
  • Respond to emergency and urgent calls, including driving under blue light conditions.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background and excellent communication skills. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable, but not essential.
