Head of Department - Public Law and Human Rights

Simpson Millar is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Department to lead our award-winning Public Law and Human Rights Department in London.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly and established team that specializes in public law, community care, claims against public authorities, and inquest work. Our team represents victims of trafficking, vulnerable migrants, unaccompanied minors, looked after children, and care leavers in civil claims and judicial review claims.

As Head of Department, you will be responsible for leading a team of Solicitors, Legal Executives, and paralegals/assistants of varying experience levels. You will oversee the performance, technical, and operational running of the department, driving growth and development while achieving revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities:
