Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Rochester, Kent

Salary: Circa £58,000 depending on skills and experience

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a multidiscipline IPT within the Project Management Team at Electronic Systems at Rochester. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining a detailed project plan, implementing Earned Value Management methodologies, and driving ownership of Work Packages and tasks throughout the project team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a detailed project plan that embraces all elements of the project
  • Implement and utilise Earned Value Management methodologies when appropriate
  • Drive ownership of Work Packages and tasks throughout the project team
  • Manage the project or bid to ensure all milestones and objectives are achieved
  • Use project management techniques to enable early identification of problems and implementation of mitigation actions
  • Achieve the agreed project cost, sales, margin, and cash flow targets
  • Manage a small multi-functional team

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of developing and maintaining excellent customer relations
  • Developing and maintaining a detailed project plan that embraces all elements of the project
  • Managing the project or bid to ensure all milestones and objectives are achieved
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions with clarity in an environment of ambiguity and uncertainty

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience of Earned Value Management methodologies
  • Aerospace and Defence sector experience
  • Broad cross-functional business experience
  • Proven track record in delivery of a Development Program
  • Experience of mentoring and coaching
