The Health and Safety Business Partner Role

We are seeking a skilled Health and Safety Business Partner to join our team at Biffa. As a key member of our operational team, you will be responsible for providing expert health and safety support to our sites across the North East.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Partner with operational teams to deliver effective health and safety systems and communications.
  2. Provide expert advice on health and safety risk controls and assurance programmes.
  3. Use specialist knowledge to provide detailed insights and recommendations to operational colleagues.
  4. Develop and implement health and safety improvement plans in collaboration with operational teams.
  5. Advocate organisational learning through the use of root cause analysis for incident investigations.
  6. Keep up-to-date with health and safety legislation and maintain expert knowledge through continuous professional development.
Requirements
  1. A recognised NEBOSH qualification and professional status.
  2. Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  3. Confident with the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels.
