Job Title: Assistant Health and Safety Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at Environcom. As a key member of our SHEQ department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the SHEQ Manager in developing and implementing robust health and safety policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Coordinate and conduct internal and external audits, inspections, and assessments to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
  • Assist in the planning, booking, and coordination of SHEQ training requirements and courses for staff.
  • Carry out internal SHEQ training for employees and participate in external inspections.
  • Conduct risk assessments and procedural documentation to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • IOSH Managing Safely certification (or equivalent) and experience in operational safety.
  • Knowledge of HSE legislation and experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to formulate action plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Teams.
Desirable:
  • Experience working in the waste industry or a related field.
  • Knowledge of waste management legislation and industry standards.
