Income Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Income Officer to join our Customer Accounts team in Christchurch, covering the Christchurch and Southampton areas. As an Income Officer, you will play a crucial role in delivering a comprehensive rent and service charge collection service across the region.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver a high-quality rent and service charge collection service to customers across the region.
- Monitor customer accounts for all tenures, ensuring accurate and timely collection of rent and service charges.
- Manage end-to-end processes, including negotiation of payment arrangements and preparation of applications for court.
- Engage with external agencies, including local authorities, as required.
- Manage evictions, ensuring a fair and efficient process for all parties involved.
- Experience in income management or debt recovery/collection.
- Knowledge and experience of either social housing, home ownership, or the private rented sector.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders.
- A working knowledge of welfare benefits and the ability to provide advice and guidance to customers.
- Self-motivation and a proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize a busy workload and manage competing demands.
