This organization is a prominent local entity located in Northern Ireland, recognized for its contributions to the construction and gas sectors.

Your New Role
This is a full-time, permanent position with standard working hours from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Thursday, and 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM on Fridays, totaling 37 hours per week. The role requires on-site presence five days a week, although part-time arrangements may be considered.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Serving as the primary contact for all HR inquiries, offering professional guidance and support to both management and staff regarding HR policies and procedures.
  • Assisting Line Managers with employee relations matters, including grievances, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Monitoring employee attendance and managing the absence process, ensuring timely communication with relevant parties.
  • Overseeing the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring all necessary documentation and processes are completed.
  • Managing the recruitment process for both temporary and permanent positions, from vacancy notification to employee induction.
  • Maintaining accurate HR records and updating the HR system to ensure data integrity.
  • Continuously reviewing and enhancing administrative systems and processes to improve service delivery and efficiency.
  • Preparing annual monitoring returns and compliance reports to meet Equality Commission standards.
  • Processing payroll accurately and on time, collaborating with the payroll provider to comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Updating HR policies in accordance with current legislation and organizational procedures.
  • Assisting with the management of purchase requisitions and invoices.
  • Supporting the HR Manager with confidential matters related to the employee lifecycle.
  • Adhering to health and safety policies and promoting equal opportunities and customer care in line with organizational objectives.

What You'll Need to Succeed
To qualify for this position, candidates should possess:
  • A degree in a relevant HR discipline or a CIPD qualification.
  • Associate level CIPD (Level 3 or above).
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a generalist HR role covering the complete HR lifecycle.
  • Experience in advising management and participating in recruitment processes, including advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, and selection.
  • Proficiency in handling employee relations issues such as disciplinary actions and grievances.
  • Experience in managing employee attendance, including monitoring and advising on absence procedures.
  • A solid understanding of employment legislation.
  • Experience with HR/Payroll databases and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Familiarity with digital recruitment methods.
  • High levels of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to build rapport with others.
  • Capability to manage large volumes of data methodically.
  • Comprehensive IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications.
