In Room Dining Supervisor

At The Savoy, a Fairmont Managed Hotel, we are seeking a highly skilled In Room Dining Supervisor to join our Food & Beverage team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the In Room Dining department.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and lead the In Room Dining team, providing guidance, support, and training to maintain high levels of motivation and performance.
- Schedule and assign tasks to team members, ensuring appropriate coverage during peak and off-peak hours.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, provide feedback, and foster a positive working environment.
- Ensure all guests receive exceptional service during their In Room Dining experience, exceeding their expectations and addressing any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Monitor guest feedback and reviews related to In Room Dining, taking appropriate actions to improve service and address recurring issues.
- Oversee the efficient processing of In Room Dining orders, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery to guest rooms.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and other relevant departments to ensure the timely preparation and delivery of food and beverage orders.
- Maintain and enforce high-quality standards in food presentation, service etiquette, and cleanliness of dining trays and amenities.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of In Room Dining supplies, such as cutlery, glassware, and amenities, and coordinate with the procurement team for timely replenishment.
- Develop and implement training programs for In Room Dining staff to enhance their product knowledge, service skills, and upselling techniques.
- Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members to help them improve their performance.
- Maintain accurate records of In Room Dining orders, expenses, and other relevant data.
- Assist in preparing reports and providing data for management review.
- Proven experience as an In Room Dining server or in a similar supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with guests and team members.
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team building, motivation, and performance management.
- Sound knowledge of food and beverage offerings, menus, and service techniques.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and make quick decisions to resolve issues effectively.
- Proficient in using computer systems and software related to In Room Dining operations.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as per the hotel's operational needs.
