Maintenance Team Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Team Leader to join our team at CHEP's Severnside Plant. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading the maintenance of our site and ensuring that our equipment and facilities are maintained in a safe and efficient manner.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing maintenance issues and delegating resources to the right skills in the team or external resources as required.
- Providing support to our engineering project team as needed.
- Developing and implementing a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule to ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out and missed maintenance activities are planned.
- Auditing and ensuring compliance of our engineering data systems.
- Optimising equipment according to standard procedure to enhance performance and product quality, ensuring the achievement of all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Facilities management, including ensuring the site operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Developing clear accountability for maintenance material spend and implementing a strategy to manage expenditure.
- Supporting the process of installing new machinery and equipment and drawing up specifications.
- Undertaking continuous training and development of self and team.
- Identifying business improvement opportunities within the organisation.
- Providing technical expertise to the team.
- Developing, implementing, and managing key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility.
- Conducting risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department.
- Managing contractors on site to ensure they meet legal and company requirements.
Qualifications:
- City and Guilds, apprenticeship, HND, HNC or similar in an engineering-related discipline.
- Completed a level 3 recognised apprenticeship programme with a mechanical and/or electrical discipline.
- Ideally NEBOSH.
- Electrical Duty holder certification.
- 18th Edition / 2382-22.
- Machine Safety (PILZ).
