Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Maintenance Engineer to join our team at CHEP. As a key member of our Service Centre Severnside, you will be responsible for maintaining all manufacturing assets, ensuring efficiency, quality, and reliability improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively work as part of a multi-skilled team to maintain all manufacturing assets.
  • Complete root cause analysis, returning equipment in a safe and timely manner.
  • Perform proactive and reactive maintenance, ensuring health and safety procedures are always followed.
  • Continually seek ways to improve all processes and procedures relating to equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure all tasks are risk assessed through site-specific or dynamic risk assessments.
  • Report all maintenance tasks on the CMMS system as required.
  • Issue work permits and supervise contractors.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a Mech/Electrical/Multi-Skilled Engineering Qualification.
  • Evidence of cross-skilling is required if your qualification is of a mechanical specialism.
  • PAT Testing, PLC qualifications, Welding, and Machine Safety (PILZ) certifications.
