Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Money Advice Caseworker at Spitfire Advice and Support Services Ltd. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing expert advice and advocacy services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality money advice services to clients, ensuring that their needs are met and they receive the best possible support.
  • Provide advocacy and court representation at tribunals and other statutory bodies, ensuring that clients' rights are protected and their voices are heard.
  • Take client instructions and provide guidance on financial matters, including drafting letters and emails to third parties and negotiating with creditors.
  • Maximize clients' income by ensuring they receive all eligible welfare benefits and support.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members and volunteers to deliver outreach services and support clients in their communities.
  • Meet contractual obligations and targets, ensuring that our services are delivered to the highest standards.
  • Manage caseloads effectively, maintaining accurate records and ensuring that all casework meets the required standards.
  • Ensure confidentiality and handle sensitive information in accordance with our organization's policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience of welfare benefits, debt advice, and poverty relief.
  • IMA (Institute of Money Advisers') qualification or recent GGDA (Giving Good Debt Advice) training.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong advocacy and negotiation skills, with the ability to represent clients in court and other statutory bodies.
  • Ability to work in a target-driven environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality services and meeting contractual obligations.
