Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement procedures to enhance the performance of our logistics fleet, ensuring effective and efficient customer interface.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including hauliers, customers, and drivers.
- Work closely with local management to ensure customer deliveries are met cost-effectively, promoting harmonious working between departments.
- Identify opportunities for logistical efficiencies and synergies, reducing haulage costs and maximizing truck utilization.
- Act as a point of escalation for queries from internal drivers, external hauliers, and owner drivers, maximizing performance and synergies in delivery.
- Liaise with the Transport Manager on compliance issues, excessive costs, vehicle issues, and fleet size.
- Flexible, proactive, and versatile approach to work.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, along with sound strategic, budgetary, and financial knowledge.
- Ability to perform and lead the team in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Genuine interest in the construction materials industry and commitment to continuous personal and professional development.
