We are seeking a skilled and proactive Distribution Supervisor to join our team at Breedon Group plc.



About the Role

As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for driving performance and establishing procedures to enhance the efficiency of our logistics fleet. This will involve leading the development of a performance culture within the distribution team and ensuring an effective and efficient customer interface.

Key Responsibilities


  • Lead the development of a performance culture within the distribution team, ensuring an effective and efficient customer interface is achieved from receipt of enquiry, pricing, quotation generation through to order receipt and despatch of materials.
  • Build stakeholder relationships with hauliers, customers, and drivers to ensure seamless logistics operations.
  • Collaborate with the local management team to ensure customer deliveries can be met cost-efficiently.
  • Identify opportunities for logistical efficiencies and synergies to reduce haulage costs and maximize truck utilization.
  • Act as a point of escalation for queries from internal drivers, external hauliers, and owner drivers to maximize performance and synergies.
  • Liaise with the Transport Manager on compliance issues, excessive costs, vehicle issues, and fleet size.
